IIITs in AP from 2008 to give the opportunities available to the rural students set up at three regions of AP to ensure good opportunities for rural students. At beginning the selection was based on the local best model in mandal level. As per survey on average marks of rural students are about 10 to 20% lower than the marks of students studying in urban areas. RGUKT giving students direct admission into a 6-year integrated program after SSC. Education at IIIT RGUKT, every student has access to a laptop and education uses the latest advances in Learning Sciences.
Admission into 6 -Year Integrated Course of IIIT RGUKT for 2012
RGUKT IIIT take intake from meritorious students who passed 10th class, to the 1st year of a 6-year integrated Engineering Programs offered in its three campuses at Basara, Nuzvid and Idupulapaya known as R.K.Valley. The maximum number of seats is 1,000 at each of the 3 campuses. RGUKT IIIT admission to Students from the Other States, International and NRI Students up to 5% of seats will be add as supernumerary seats. This Admission will be on the basis of their marks in SSC examination. Such candidates need minimum of 70% marks in 10th. The annual fee of other states students is Rs.1,36,000/- and for International students just Rs.3.0 lakhs.
How To Apply RGUKT IIIT:
Applications are through online, by either of the following two modes.
(i) RGUKT website at htpp://admissions2012.rgukt.in.
Candidates may apply online from RGUKT website by payment of Rs.150/- as registration fee through a crossed DD from preferably State Bank of Hyderabad / Andhra Bank or any Nationalized Bank, drawn in favor of The Registrar, RGUKT, and payable at Hyderabad.
(II) APOnline: Candidates can also apply through APOnline services by paying registration fee of Rs 150/- and service charges of Rs 15/- per application to the APOnline service centre.
In both cases, a print copy of the submitted application along with original DD/APOnline receipt, and copies of the certificates should be sent to

RGUKT IIIT Selection Method:
RGUKT IIIT selection in each category is based on the marks obtained in SSC examination 2012. 4% in terms of percentage of marks to be added to applicant from Government schools, Zillaparishad and Municipal Schools for the academic year 2012-13. In case of a tie, the candidate who got higher marks in English will be selected. In case of a further tie, marks in Mathematics are taken into consideration. If the candidates get equal marks in both English and Mathematics, the candidate who is older in age will get selected.
The list of candidates selected for counseling will be displayed on the university website www.rgukt.in and also be informed by post, SMS message. The candidates selected for counseling shall report in person at the RGUKT Campus allotted Basar, Nuzvid, RKValley for verification of certificates.
